Ignacio Samuel
IGNACIO SAMUEL "GIG" N. AÑOVER

Gig, with his tact and diplomacy, expertly managed more than 250 negotiations concerning labor union formation, and collective bargaining agreements and renewals across various industries, such as agricultural, automotive, cement, electronics, food and beverage, mining, packaging, paper, pharmaceutical, steel, among others.

He is well versed in common employee relations concerns such as employee issues and grievances, and worker discipline. He is equally competent in devising labor strategies during corporate take overs, dispute resolution cases, strikes, and lock-outs, thereby allowing management to enjoy genuine industrial peace with its workers.

To complement his labor expertise, Gig also has a wide-range experience in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence studies, and corporate re-structuring.

Gig is known to be fearless, but very light and easy to speak with… engaging yet firm in his disposition.

Albert Dennis
ALBERT DENNIS N. AÑOVER

Dennis is a seasoned lawyer who began his practice under the mentorship of senior litigators of the Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz Law Offices, notably Jose C. Concepcion. His passion and commitment to this field of practice allowed him to hone his skills in both writing and courtroom presence. In fact, Dennis was later on handpicked to be part of the legal team that handled before the Supreme Court the case of the PARTNERs in Regala, et al. v. Sandiganbayan et al. (G.R. No. 105938, 20 September 1996). He likewise had the opportunity to defend a large multinational company like Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation in Maceda v. Macaraig, JR. (G.R. No. 88291, 31 May 1991).

With over 30 years experience in this field, Dennis continues to lead and guide the litigation cases of the firm. In the process, he has also developed a specialized practice in construction arbitration.

Dennis’ calm yet fierce demeanor makes him a tough opponent in litigation. Despite this, his warm disposition makes it easy for clients to establish a personal connection with him.

Joaquin Jack
JOAQUIN "JACK" E. SAN DIEGO

Jack is a lawyer with broad experience acquired through a multifaceted career.

He has advised clients on the legal processes involved in and the legal structuring of business and investment activities at inception and during expansion. He has led teams composed of lawyers and other professionals who served as consultants to corporations in such diverse sectors as mining, real estate, gaming, power generation, construction and financial services.

He has been involved in public advocacy, having liaised with industry wide organizations and with Congress during his stint with the Chamber of Mines. He has pitched local projects to international funding agencies as part of his work with the Federation of Regional Development Councils.

As part of Boards or as Board consultant he has assisted organizations, particularly educational institutions and nonprofits, in their internal consolidation as well as in crafting and executing strategies for enhancing their social footprint.

After serving in the Board of Trustees of the University of Asia and the Pacific, Jack led a team that established UA&P’s School of Law and Governance where he served as its Founding Dean. He continues to contribute in guiding the School’s development and expansion. He likewise continues to teach and to mentor students in their law studies and in their research and publication activities.

Jean Paolo
JEAN PAOLO S. PRIMAVERA

Paolo’s vast experience as a professional easily transitioned him to be a senior member of the firm.

His criminal, labor and commercial litigation experience was developed after having worked for prestigious firms since he was in law school. After being appointed General and Corporate Counsel of  several companies, Paolo honed his  practice areas to include commercial law, exposing him to practice areas in foreign investments, intellectual property and enforcement and business process outsourcing. He continuously services multinational companies here in the Philippines and those looking to establish foreign presence in the Philippines. He is also a certified Data Protection Officer.

Paolo instills client confidence through his  effective listening and communication skills.  This trait enables him to accurately identify issues and create solutions for complex legal issues that he routinely deals with.
